About Us

Growing up, I always had my face in a sketchpad or hands on building blocks. This was an option not an escape. As life became busier I had less time to draw and use my imagination. After tech school, a couple of career changes and various trade jobs; I realized that the missing piece in my life had been right there the whole time. My career and trade choices all hovered around my childhood pastimes. Drawing things then building them - Building things then drawing on them.

Trade skills and the combined understanding of physics and engineering became the double-edged sword, which unlocked the artist within, which created Smiths Studio.

Transforming steel, rock and anything else I can get my hands on into incredible pieces of art brings a sense of satisfaction to my life.
